Phenobarbital Apothecary Bottle

This enormous 1 gallon jug measures 13” in height and once contained Phenobarbital - a prescription used as a sedative. This bottle also contained alcohol (14%). During the early to mid 1900s this drug was commonly misused and overly dosed. This amber bottle is empty and contains no contents. 

The label for this specific bottle displays with slight damage to the bottom right hand corner.
